Resurrection of a Blog: Taking New Shape.

There are a million MMA blogs on the interweb, and yes, I am well aware of that. While I think I have a knack for writing some great pieces, so do a lot of other bloggers. With the mass of content available, how do I stand out?
Starting today, I'm going to do things differently. A lot differently. This is no longer a dedicated MMA blog. Period. Not to say it won't be brought up, because it most certainly will. More than likely almost immediately following this post... This blog will be more about life, and how I see it.
I don't expect everyone to love my writings or agree with my viewpoints. But then again, they are my viewpoints, and I'm the one doing the writing, so that's that. At any rate, I do plan on writing about a different aspect of life; a faith based aspect. Whether it be MMA, fishing, food, television or life in general, I am going to look at things from my faith based point of view.
I'm certainly no Pastor or award winning Christian speaker, but I still have a voice... and an opinion.

I initially came up with the concept of 1 Minute Rest because it correlates to that pause in action, between the rounds of a fight, where fighters get a chance to regroup, recover and breathe. While this blog is no more exclusively about Mixed Martial Arts, I think that it still bears relevant. We're all in a fight of some sort, and I hope my writings can help to provide pause. To regroup, recover and most importantly, breathe.

With that being said, I hope you'll continue reading. If you enjoy it, or it provokes some sort of thought in your mind, please share it. Share it with me, share it with friends.

 Thank you.

Bert
